Huckabee Leads 2012 Field in WSJ/NBC Poll

Following right on the heels of the POLITICO/George Washington University poll comes another poll of national favorables — this one from the Wall Street Journal and NBC:

Favorables/Unfavorables

1. Mike Huckabee (26/25, +1)
2. Mitt Romney (21/30, -9)
3. Newt Gingrich (24/35, -11)
4. Sarah Palin (30/48, -18)

Analysis: As some will point out, the better known a candidate is, the higher their unfavorables. But Huckabee beats Romney by 10 points, despite identical name identification — and he nearly matches Palin's total favorables (the highest in the lot), despite her far greater name recognition. This has been a good week for Huckabee.

  4. I hope all the voters see what a great President Mike Huckabee would be for America. Go Huckabee/2012

  5. Great news! There are many reasons why Gov. Huckabee has the highest favorability rating. He brings common-sense solutions to the challenges we face, connects with the American people in a genuine and relatable manner, and allows his political beliefs to be guided by his Christian beliefs...to name only a few.

  6. The tea parties need to co-alesse on demanding the FairTax. Healthcare will fall down on it's own now that the ball is rolling. But ending the Income Tax is a monsterous task that will take some doing, and we can ill-afford to fight over what kind of flat tax postcard to wish for, which is just an INCOME TAX. In January HR25 will be re-introduced to the House for the fifth time, and finally have some steaming tea behind it. It'll take until 2012 to actually PASS the bill, just in time for PRESIDENT HUCKABEE to proudly sign it into law. PS I was in Mitt's face TWICE in Iowa in'08 and he wouldn't hear of it, but likes the IRS instead.

  7. Good week indeed for Huckabee! Also, Wall Street Journal and NBC are not exactly bastions of conservatism, so this poll would not be biased toward him. (I would think it might be, if anything, more supportive for Romney.) God-willing, Huckabee will run for President, and then he will have a wonderful group of supporters to help him win the Presidency.

  8. Good Job. Keep it up and rolling ahead

  9. Why are Huckabee's supporters all a bunch of white trash, trailer park jeebus freaks? Please discuss!

  10. Huckabee supporters include a range of Republicans, Tea Party, Independents, and surprisingly, 20 percent of Democrats now would vote for him as President. When Huckabee ran for Governor, he had the support of over 40% of the blacks. Geraldo, hardly a staunch conservative, supports Huckabee for President, also, because of his goodness and character.
